DVR - Digital Video Recorder

A DVR allows multiple analog cameras to be digitized, compressed and recorded to an internal hard drive. Recording can take place by scheduled recording, motion detection, or external device input such as a door switch or alarm system (certain models).

Our DVR kits come in 4,8,9 and 16 input models.

Cameras

Standard cameras included with our kits are 420 line outdoor infra red Night Vision cameras.

During adequate daylight, the cameras operate in full colour mode. When the light level drops below a preset level, a sensor turns on infra red LEDs and the camera switches to an ultra sensitive black and white mode.

Infra red light is invisible to the human eye, although the LEDs on the camera do glow red slightly.

Mounting brackets and screws are also provided.

We also stock and have access to a wide variety of cameras and are happy to customize a system for you.

Cables

Included for each camera in the kit are prewired 60 foot cables, which carry both power and video signals.

No special tools are required to install connectors, this has all been done for you.

If you need more than 60 feet for one or more cameras, we have a variety of lengths in stock or we can custom make you any length (60 feet is included in the price - costs will vary for longer cables).

Monitor

In order to keep our system cost affordable, they are sold without a monitor. Any television or monitor with a standard video in jack (ie yellow RCA jack) can be used. Some models are also equipped with a VGA output, allowing a computer monitor to be used.

We also stock RF modulators, allowing you to place the output from the DVR onto an unused cable TV channel and distribute it using the existing cable system.

Network

Some of our DVR systems include network capabilities. Click Here to learn more about network capabilities.

Graffiti In Winnipeg
"Graffiti is more than just words or symbols sprayed on a wall, it is an act of vandalism. In 2007, the City of Winnipeg increased funding for graffiti removal from $640,000 to $1.17 million. Every dollar spent on graffiti removal is a dollar that could be used on other truly needed programs"
